Press release
4:0 for FaMeta!
From June 26 to 28, 2024, the FaMeta 2024 metalworking trade exhibition took place for the fourth time, unrivaled as the only industry trade fair in Bavaria. The "4:0" during the European Football Championship brought healthy growth once again compared to the previous year. Visitors from 392 metal-processing companies met more than 50 exhibitors at the CNC Outlet Center in Olching.
Over three days, hundreds of interested visitors attended the regional trade fair and took advantage of a diverse range of information through lectures, presentations, demonstrations, and expert discussions. "We are delighted about our fourth consecutive visitor record, but even more, we appreciate the visitors' expertise," says Holger Kösler, initiator of the FaMeta metalworking trade exhibition. "We want high-level professional discussions and provide machine operators, manufacturers, and developers with the ideal setting. We aim to continue this success at the next FaMeta from July 9–11, 2025."
The intensive dialogue among experts—whether directly at the machines, during presentations, or in the beer garden—is what sets the FaMeta trade fair apart from many other industry fairs. Exhibitors see it the same way: "What makes FaMeta special is its clear professional focus," says Ludwig Linner, managing director of the Herion Linner Group, represented with special tooling and tool grinding services. "Nearly all visitors come from machining backgrounds and thus show particular interest in high-end precision tool grinding."
Exhibitors such as Axon, Chiron, EMAG, Geibel+Hotz, Hahn+Kolb, Index, Kunzmann, Mazak, Primacon, Tornos, and Weiler demonstrated their machines in live operation. "We showcased our CNC machine tool featuring optimized laser measurement, higher spindle speeds, and increased torque, along with raw-part, pallet, and vice handling," says Tobias Hofmann, managing director of Axon Metal Cutting Solutions. "We’ve successfully been doing this here for years."
Visitors could also examine automation and robotic solutions, industrial software, tooling and clamping systems, and a variety of peripheral equipment for machine tools. "At FaMeta, we experience closer customer contact and engage in more specialized discussions compared to typical industry trade shows," confirms Tobias Landgraf, Business Development Manager at Munich-based Robco GmbH. Armin Kusch from Emuge-Franken sales representation adds: "Here, everyone talks to everyone. We clearly see more leads at this trade fair than at standard in-house exhibitions."
A goal-wall shooting contest in celebration of the European Football Championship and the traditional beer garden with alpine hut further contributed to a positive networking atmosphere. The next FaMeta metalworking trade exhibition will take place from July 9–11, 2025, in Olching.
